My 15 year old son is flying LHR–FRA–RUH–FRA–LHR with Lufthansa. We decided not to book the unaccompanied minor service.
I saw this note about the adult bringing the child to the airport needing to be 18+ and contactable until departure. Is that only if you book the unaccompanied minor package? Or do I need to go to the check in desk and stay there until takeoff even if he’s traveling without the service?
On the return from RUH, he’ll be getting a taxi to the airport since my brother there doesn’t drive. If he arrives by taxi alone at 15, is that an issue? Or is that fine since he’s not booked as an unaccompanied minor?
Just want to make sure we’re not misunderstanding the rules.
