I just saw that food prices at the Minnesota State Fair are hitting new highs $15 for pizza on a stick at Tino’s! I’ve been going to the fair since I was a kid, and I get that prices rise, but wow. Back in the day, those fair eats were just $4. Vendors like Tino and Butcher Boys say it’s all due to higher food and labor costs, and to be fair, the portions are bigger and the quality still looks solid.
Still, I’m wondering how folks are feeling about this. Is the nostalgia and experience worth the splurge? I’m tempted to grab that $5 Blue Ribbon coupon book and make the most of it. Anyone else planning to hit the fair despite the price hikes?
