I’m planning a 14-day trip to Italy from September 25 to October 10 and have mapped out a fairly packed itinerary. The trip includes arriving in Rome, traveling by train to Venice, then driving to the Dolomites for several days of hiking and sightseeing.
After that, I plan to return to Venice, take a train to Florence, and stay at a nearby farm stay in a vineyard. From there, I’ll travel to Naples and stay in Sorrento, with plans for a Capri boat tour, exploring the Amalfi Coast, and visiting Pompeii. Finally, I’ll return to Rome for several days of sightseeing before flying back home.
The itinerary involves multiple train rides, car rentals, and frequent location changes. While I am comfortable with travel logistics and driving, I’m concerned about whether this schedule is too tight or if certain destinations should have more time allocated.
I would appreciate feedback on whether this route is practical, and if any parts of the itinerary should be adjusted to allow for a more balanced and enjoyable trip.
