Showed up at the gate at DFW thinking my AA flight was on time. Right then they tell us they’re short two flight attendants and delay us three hours.
That three hours turned into 12. Every 30 minutes the departure time slipped again, with no sign that a crew was actually coming. Gate agents had no info. Pilot was just hanging around with passengers.
After 12 hours, the pilots timed out and the flight was canceled.
Tried to rebook in the app, online, and by phone. All down. Woke up to find AA had rebooked me two days later, which completely wrecks the trip. And my bags are apparently still going to the original destination.
What really gets me is they burned an entire day instead of being honest early that they didn’t have the crew.
