Booked a paid Polaris seat LHR to EWR and they swapped the aircraft, so my seat got pushed to Economy Plus with zero compensation offered at first. Called in and all they said was I could cancel the whole trip, which doesn’t help when I still need to get home. I’m Platinum, so I guess the folks who kept their seats must have been 1K or GS.
They later said I’d get an email about compensation options two hours before departure. Gate agent ended up sorting it out and I got a 1500 dollar travel voucher plus the miles as if I had flown business, so at least it worked out in the end.
