Had a BCN–IAD Polaris run last week and it was just one thing after another. Sat down, kicked off my shoes, and instantly felt my socks soak through. Floor was still wet from a vomit cleanup, and the smell stayed with me the whole 9 hours. FA did what she could with blankets and deodorizer, but it never really went away.
Then the pre-arrival meal was basically a pile of wet lettuce and a lump of blue cheese. Headset noise cancelation didn’t work, power outlet dead, WiFi barely stayed on. Even had a FA accidentally pop the lav door open on me near the end of the flight.
UA tossed me 12.5k miles at first, then another $250 after I pushed back, but man… this was one for the books.
