Did booking a QF ticket on Emirates actually help during the recent disruption?

Curious if anyone here had a Qantas ticket but was actually flying on Emirates during the recent Middle East disruptions.

Did having the QF ticket help at all when things started getting messy? Like were they willing to reroute you onto other airlines or different routes, or was it basically limited to Emirates options only?

Also wondering if having Qantas status made any difference when dealing with changes.

Trying to decide if booking a QF codeshare via Dubai later this year is worth the potential headache.
