Waited an hour at checkout for Hilton to fix a $225 charge… was I wrong to insist?

Checked out and saw a random 225 dollar dinner charge on my bill. Front desk agent was super polite but didn’t have the authority to remove it. She kept disappearing into the back office, first saying they’d “look into it,” then saying it’d be 20 minutes… ended up being a full hour sitting in the lobby waiting for someone to fix an obvious mistake.

Manager never came out, no explanation, nothing. Some random staff member finally brought out the corrected bill and a quick “sorry for the wait.” After 1,700 nights on the road, I’ve never had anything like that happen.

Was I unreasonable for insisting it be fixed before leaving? Or does this feel like a team that doesn’t value a guest’s time?
