Had a long delay thanks to airport congestion, which made me miss my connection and forced an overnight. Filed a trip delay claim through Chase and they rejected it because it wasn’t due to equipment failure, weather, strike, or… skyjacking (seriously).
Kinda surprised how narrow that list is. So a regular late-arriving aircraft the thing that causes half the delays out there, isn’t covered at all?
Anyone else run into this? And are there cards with trip delay insurance that actually covers more common situations?
