Back in July I had to fly out right after my grandmother’s funeral. I was already wrecked, and on my layover everything finally hit me. By the time I boarded, I was crying so hard I ended up locking myself in the bathroom for a full meltdown.
A United flight attendant came to check, comforted me, gave me a hug, even switched my seat so she could check in during the flight. She brought me a snack box too. I never got her name, but she was the only person who made me feel less alone that night.
