Was supposed to fly Sunday at 7am from Portland, ME to San Juan. Flight kept getting delayed in 2-hour chunks, so they eventually rebooked me out of Boston. I didn’t get to PR until Monday morning. Super frustrating, but I stuck with it.
Then on Tuesday I randomly checked my return flight for Thursday… and it was just gone. Not in the app, not on the website.
I contacted customer service and they told me it had been canceled and I was automatically issued a flight credit. I never got an email or any notification about the cancellation.
When I asked to be rebooked on the next available flight, they didn’t just move me over. I had to apply the credit and still pay an extra $100.
Is this actually standard? Cancel someone’s flight without telling them and then make them pay more to get home?
Feels like a total mess.
