Suite award downgraded on a Hyatt points stay. What’s reasonable to ask for?

I’m halfway through a 3 night points stay at an Alila. Booked a suite award. Only realized later that we were actually put into a regular room. The property and room are beautiful, so it didn’t click at first. The room does have a better view than the standard room award, but it’s still not a suite.

I spoke with the front desk and we’re meeting the manager tomorrow to talk about compensation. The difference between the suite award and the standard room award is about 54k points. Is it unreasonable to ask for that difference back, even though the room is technically “better” than the base standard room because of the view?

What bugs me most is that no one told us it was a downgrade. They just hyped up the view while walking us to the room. At an Alila, they clearly know exactly what room type was booked through Hyatt.

Curious what others think is fair here or if anyone’s dealt with something similar.
