On a Southwest flight right now and the seating rules are honestly confusing.
One guy was the only passenger in an emergency exit row and moved from the aisle to the window seat. A flight attendant made him move back to the original seat even though the row was otherwise empty.
I also paid for an exit row seat and both seats next to me are filled, while several nearby rows only have one person in them. Still not allowed to shift seats even though the space is clearly there.
The guy who got corrected had never flown Southwest before and was completely confused about what he did wrong.
Living in Dallas unfortunately means Southwest is hard to avoid because of the Love Field situation, so looks like I’ll still be flying them for a while.
