Recently flew Southwest for the first time in years and the experience was pretty rough.
Had a drunk passenger on one side and on the other side a person coughing loudly and saying they were sick but didn’t care because they wanted to party at the destination.
Before takeoff, asked a flight attendant if it would be possible to move to the back since the last two rows were empty. She said to wait until after takeoff.
After the plane was in the air, another attendant nearby said it was fine to move, so the seat was changed. A bit later the original attendant came over and angrily said the move wasn’t allowed yet and warned that next time it could lead to being removed from the flight.
Explained that another crew member had given permission, which led to the attendants discussing it between themselves.
The rest of the flight was quiet, but the whole situation left a pretty bad impression compared to how Southwest used to be.
