Planning my first ever overseas trip and I’m a bit stuck on fares. Looking at Singapore Airlines and the price difference between Economy Lite and Economy Value is close to $800 round trip, which feels huge.
From what I can tell, the main differences are seat selection included and the ability to change or cancel for a fee on the Value fare. For someone who’s never flown before, are those things actually important or nice to have?
Curious what more experienced travelers usually choose and what you’d recommend for a first international flight. Is Economy Lite fine, or is Value worth paying that much more?
