Flying tomorrow on Qatar. My wife and two kids are on one reservation, I’m on a separate one. We specifically selected seats together almost two months ago and used a lot of points to lock in those seats for them. For my ticket (booked via Booking.com) seat selection was free, and I had a confirmed seat number.
Yesterday at check-in I noticed my seat on the second flight had been moved back. Called Qatar and they couldn’t change it, just said they’d “note it for check-in,” even though I have the email confirmation.
Checked again today and they moved me even further back, different aisle, nowhere near my family.
At this point I’m pretty annoyed and plan to deal with it at the airport, but curious what recourse I actually have here. Has anyone successfully gotten Qatar to fix this at the desk when seats were changed multiple times like this?
