Someone pricing out Montreal on American found roundtrip premium for two at $883. Booked as two separate one ways, same flights, same dates, total was $753.
That used to never happen. Roundtrip was almost always the better deal.
Only downside is the tickets are separate, so changes or missed segments don’t automatically protect the other leg. But if it’s refundable as credit or you’ve got insurance, that risk might be small.
Definitely worth checking both ways before you hit purchase. Airlines price things weirdly now.
