Seeing the Hilton story about canceling reservations tied to ICE activity and it just reinforces something people hate hearing.
Hotels are not hospitals. You do not have an automatic right to stay just because you booked a room. A reservation, prepaid or not, is not a guarantee. It is a request that can be refused.
Hotels can and do cancel stays based on policy, behavior, payment issues, or risk. Authorization checks matter. Your demeanor matters. Management has final say, whether guests like it or not.
People get mad about this, but it is how hotels have always worked.
