Qatar upgrade prices usually don’t get that much cheaper

From what I’ve seen with Qatar, upgrade offers are pretty random, but they don’t usually drop dramatically once you’re already seeing a price.

Sometimes it’ll dip a bit closer to departure, sometimes it actually goes up, or just disappears. There isn’t really a predictable “wait and it’ll be cheap” pattern, especially on popular routes.

If it already feels expensive now and you’re stretching for the holiday, I wouldn’t count on some magic last minute bargain. Cheapest upgrades tend to show up either very early or as a surprise at check in, and even then it’s hit or miss.

If the current price doesn’t feel worth it, I’d probably plan on flying what you booked and treat any cheaper offer as a bonus if it happens.
