Princess upgrade bid accepted, charged… still same cabin

Currently on Sun Princess and this has been a mess. Earlier this week we got the email saying our upgrade bid was accepted and that we’d be upgraded before the cruise.


We show up and we’re still in the original cabin. Went straight to guest services and they couldn’t give any explanation or solution. Meanwhile, our card has already been charged for the upgraded room.


All they told us was to come back tomorrow and talk to them again.


So heads up to anyone using the upgrade bid program. Apparently even if your bid is “accepted” and they charge your card, it’s not actually guaranteed.


Pretty bad customer service experience so far. I’ll update if anything changes.
