Curious if this has happened to anyone else. I booked, paid for, and got written confirmation from Princess for a specific cabin and itinerary. A few days later they called and cancelled it, saying the cabin I booked wasn’t actually eligible for the promotion I used.
The price didn’t seem crazy low or like an obvious mistake. Princess offered either a $200 onboard credit or for me to rebook the same cabin at full price.
If I had cancelled, I would’ve lost way more than $200, so this feels pretty unfair. A hotel wouldn’t get away with cancelling a confirmed booking like this, so I’m surprised a cruise line can.
Is this just something Princess can do, or is there any way to push back and get them to honor the original reservation?
