Yet another reminder that NYC subway commuting can go from routine to chaos in seconds. A person was struck by a 7 train at 74th St-Broadway in Queens right in the middle of rush hour, causing big delays and suspending service for a stretch of the line. These incidents are always jarring, and even with the best detour options like E, F, M, R, buses, LIRR cross-honoring, it turns into a scramble. Hope the individual is okay but also, this station has long been overcrowded and overdue for safety upgrades. Anyone else been caught up in something like this recently?
