On AS3325 LAX→SFO and we got stuck near the runway because SFO wasn’t taking arrivals. Pilot said it could be an hour. Then three passengers with a JFK connection asked to get off the plane to try to rebook something else.
Pilot actually announced they might head back to a deplaning point and asked if anyone else wanted to stay in LA. Never seen that before, we just wanted to get home.
We ended up back at the gate, and the kicker: they told those passengers their bags would stay on the plane and go to JFK anyway.
Door closed again, took extra fuel, started taxiing… still didn’t have clearance. Then couldn’t push back because another plane boxed us in.
Just one of those LAX tarmac nights, I guess.
