Paid to change my flight… then Wizz canceled it and kept the fee?

Changed my Wizz flight date and paid the change fee without issue. A few days later, Wizz canceled the new flight entirely.


Now they’re saying they’ll refund the ticket price, but not the change fee. They’ll also let me change to another date for free, but even if I move it back to the original date, they still keep the fee I already paid.


They’re also not offering a replacement flight on the day I originally changed to, which makes this even more annoying.


This feels pretty greedy, even by Wizz standards. Has anyone actually had success getting the change fee refunded in a situation like this, or is this just how they get away with it?
