Rode the NextGen Acela today and this “Emergency Alert: Smoke Detected, all passengers should exit immediately” message kept popping up on the screens every so often.
Definitely jump scared me the first time. But the crew didn’t react at all and everything continued like normal. No announcements, no concern, nothing.
Is this a known glitch on the new Acelas? Or just some random system hiccup? Curious if anyone else has seen this.
