I finally took my first cruise seven days on Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas. I was dreaming of ocean views, breezy poolside lounging, and epic excursions. Instead? Lines, crowds, and more hot buses than I care to remember. The ship felt like a floating mall packed with 5,000+ people. Even the cool jungle bridge I toured was mobbed. Honestly, the best part was early morning walks on the top deck before the rush.
This definitely challenged the glamorous cruise images I’ve seen online. Maybe I just picked the wrong kind of cruise? Has anyone tried a smaller ship or a less popular route and had a better experience? I’d love tips before giving cruising another shot.
