I booked a round trip through trip.com, but my car broke down and I missed the outgoing flight. I ended up buying a new one way ticket to get there and planned to just use my original return flight to come home.
I’ve always heard that if you miss the outbound, the return gets canceled automatically. Trip.com told me that the outbound and return have separate booking codes, so the return should still be valid. That sounded reassuring, but when I tried to check directly with Wizz Air they refused to confirm anything since the booking was made through a third party.
Now I’m stuck wondering what to do. I absolutely need to be back on that return date. Do I risk it and show up for the return, or do I just bite the bullet and buy a new return ticket to be safe?
Has anyone actually missed a Wizz Air outbound and still flown the return without issues? Real experiences would really help here.
