Missed my Frontier flight at LAX because of the new terminal chaos

Had a 9am Frontier flight. Got to the airport more than 2 hours early. Checked my bag, TSA took about 20 minutes, all felt fine. Then after TSA they tell us we have to take ground transportation to a new terminal. No heads up earlier.


Waited about 25 minutes just for the bus. Everyone on it was flying Frontier so I assumed they wouldn’t strand all of us. Huge mistake.


When we got to the new terminal people were sprinting. Gate had closed about 6 minutes earlier and they refused to let anyone on. Around 10 of us were stuck there arguing. The plane was literally still attached to the jet bridge and they still wouldn’t open it. Just told us to scan a QR code and rebook.


I had a test I needed to be at before noon. Missed the flight, missed the test, totally wrecked my day. Frontier charged me another $400 to rebook. Getting my checked bag back took 2 more hours because no staff were around. Phone support was useless too.


Ended up paying another $100 to grab a Southwest flight instead because the Frontier rebook involved a Vegas connection and delays.


No communication, terrible logistics, zero flexibility. If you’re flying Frontier out of LAX, be very careful with this new terminal setup.
