Booked Canada → Zurich → Delhi → Ahmedabad for Jan–Apr (last leg on Air India). Now need to shift it to Mar–Apr and Lufthansa’s system has basically melted down.
The website won’t let me rebook at all either errors out or shows no options. So I called, and the agents also couldn’t change anything. They said the system literally won’t process rebooking on my routing.
Instead, the only thing they could offer was a completely different itinerary for 7,000 CAD, even though my original RT ticket was 1,500. And that option doesn’t even get me to Ahmedabad anymore just Delhi or Mumbai, and I’d have to buy my own domestic flight.
I even said I’d accept different routes, longer layovers, different carriers… nothing. System blocks everything.
This feels like some weird issue with mixed LH + Air India bookings or a backend restriction. The fare does allow changes, but neither the website nor the call center can make them, and the only “solution” they show is an absurd 7k itinerary.
Anyone else run into Lufthansa rebooking just failing completely like this?
