Just got back from a long weekend in LA and wow I didn't plan it around food, but it turned into a full-on eating itinerary. Hit up Lucia on Friday and it was a total vibe. The music, the lighting, the jerk chicken with coconut rice it’s one of those places where the whole room feels like a scene. The okra martini caught me off guard in the best way.
Saturday morning I made the trek to Hasi Bread in Mar Vista. I’ve seen the swirly sourdough on IG but it’s somehow even prettier in person. Grabbed a loaf, made French toast with it the next day, and I’m still thinking about it.
And if you haven’t heard of Glizzy Street yet two teenage twins slinging hot dogs in Long Beach with a full crowd cheering them on it’s honestly one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while. That BBQ bacon dog hit the spot. Makes you feel good supporting that kind of hustle.
L.A. wins again. If anyone else went to Agnes in Pasadena, how was that baked potato gnocchi?
