If the price is the same, take the retrofitted A380 every time

In economy, the Emirates retrofit isn’t revolutionary, but it’s still a noticeable step up from the old A380 cabins. The seats feel a bit newer, screens are better, and everything just feels less worn. On a long haul like SYD–DXB, that matters more than people admit.

The old interiors aren’t terrible, but they’re definitely showing their age now. If you’re staring at the same seat and screen for 14 hours, I’d take newer over nostalgia any day.

Since the timing difference is small and there’s no price gap, EK413 with the retrofit is the easy choice. No real downside unless you’re weirdly attached to the old cabin.
