Lately I’ve been testing different ways to maximize my restaurant spending, and the Amex Gold has been my go-to. It already gives 4x Membership Rewards points at restaurants worldwide, but I stack it with Bilt Dining 3x points per $1 and occasionally catch extra Amex Offers for bonus points at chain restaurants. One recent dinner in Vegas earned me over 700 MR points on top of the Bilt stack, which feels like a win for just eating out. I even add OpenTable reservations when possible for a little extra credit toward gift cards.
So in practice, I’m pulling in Amex MR + Bilt points + Amex Offers + OpenTable Dining Points from the same meal. It’s a simple system that adds up quickly, especially since dining is one of my biggest expenses when traveling. I’m curious if others here also stack this aggressively, or do you just keep it simple with one card?
