Booked a hotel for two nights, Booking says pay at check in, no card needed. All good. Then right after booking, the hotel messages me through the Booking app asking me to wire money directly to their bank account… no amount listed, nothing. Just “please transfer.”
Now I’m sitting here eating my own smugness because I always roll my eyes at posts like this.
I reported it to Booking but who knows if they’ll ever respond. Not sure if I should message the hotel back saying I’ll pay on arrival, or just ignore it and show up. Kinda don’t want to cancel because this hotel is the reason I’m going to this area in the first place.
Has anyone been through this? What’s the safest move
