Not really looking for advice, just need to vent because this was so weird.
I was in 4D on an E175, already seated with headphones on. A guy comes up, opens the overhead next to me, pulls out my 40L duffel backpack and puts his bag in its place.
I say excuse me but he either ignores me or does not hear me. Then he looks around holding my bag and goes “who’s backpack is this?” I say it’s mine. He hands it to me and tells me to put it under my seat.
I tell him it will not fit. It is a full size carry on. Flight attendant comes over, I explain that he took my bag out to put his in. She kind of freezes, so I just ask if she can move mine to another bin and she puts it in row 12.
Not the end of the world, but who does that? I cannot imagine just grabbing someone else’s bag out of the overhead like that.
