Flying Blue Gold lounge access on a domestic UX flight with intl KLM connection?

Trying to figure out lounge access rules here.

I’m Flying Blue Gold and will be flying a domestic Air Europa flight within Spain, then connecting to an international KLM flight about 3 hours later. Tickets are separate.

With Delta I’ve done this before on separate tickets and still got lounge access since I had an international connection later that day. In theory I should qualify here too, but the lounge at PMI is a third party lounge, not an airline operated one.

Has anyone actually tried this in Spain with Flying Blue status? Do they look at the onward international boarding pass or do they only care about the flight you’re currently on?

Any data points or tips would be appreciated.
