Looking at a flight where the price on Booking.com and a few other third party sites is literally about half of what the airline is charging. When I check Expedia or the airline site, the price jumps way up.
I normally book direct, but a difference this big is hard to ignore. I’m a bit wary of third party sites, though Booking.com seems more reliable than some of the sketchier ones.
If I do book through Expedia or Booking, is there anything I can do to make sure my seat is actually confirmed? I usually like to check in as early as possible and select a seat on the first leg.
Just trying to figure out if this is a legit deal or a headache waiting to happen.
