Flight cancelled, has anyone managed to reroute instead of waiting days?

My Qatar flight for tomorrow got cancelled. When I contacted live chat, the only option they gave me was to rebook 5 days later.

That doesn’t really work for me. I’d much rather be rerouted on a different airline or even a different route to get there sooner. When I asked about that, the agent didn’t seem willing to help at all.

Has anyone actually succeeded in getting Qatar to reroute them instead of just accepting the later flight?
