Had a small but funny moment on a recent Southwest flight.
I was assigned a middle seat, and when I boarded I saw a pretty large guy already sitting in the window seat. I figured it was just one of those flights and sat down anyway.
Right after I sat down, a flight attendant leaned over and quietly said, “If you’d like to sit in the aisle seat, you can.”
For a second I started saying something like, “I thought we had to stay in our assigned seats,” because they had just announced that earlier. But then I stopped mid-sentence, stood up, and happily moved to the aisle.
Didn’t ask questions after that.
