Extra food bag on Qatar… how strict are they?

Flying Qatar next week from Singapore to Kenya via Doha, economy class. I’m wondering about carry on rules, specifically food.

Is it allowed to bring an extra small bag like a tote with just food items? I know some airlines don’t count a food bag toward the one carry on rule, but I’m not sure how Qatar handles this.

Anyone have recent experience with how strict they are at the gate? Trying to figure out if there’s any flexibility or if I should just pack everything into one bag to be safe.
