Just got back from a trip and my suitcase came off the carousel completely destroyed, like "fought a plane and lost" level shredded. Even other passengers were commenting. I headed to Delta’s baggage office expecting at least a quick inspection, but the agent refused to even look inside and suggested a lithium battery explosion. I asked them three times to check the contents, but they shut me down each time.
I filed a claim with photo evidence, only to get a response implying I made it all up due to discrepancies in their notes. It’s honestly more frustrating how I was treated than the damage itself. Thankfully, I recorded the entire conversation.
