Was actually at ATL last Sunday when that Delta plane clipped another jet total chaos at the gate next to ours. We heard the announcement about DL1830 to Guatemala City getting delayed, and then saw the jet being moved back after the incident. No one got hurt, thankfully, but that’s gotta be a wild start to a trip.
Seems like this happened in one of those zones where ATC doesn’t talk to the pilots makes me wonder how common this is. Also noticed Delta is switching ground handling providers soon.
Anyone think that change is playing into stuff like this? Would love to hear if others have ever been on a flight that had a ground mishap like this.
