I was about 400 MQDs short of Gold on 12/31/25 and tried to use the “Elevate Your Status” option around 5pm my time. It showed $1200 to buy the remaining MQDs, but the site kept erroring out and said I wasn’t eligible.
I called Delta and the rep confirmed there was a site wide technical issue and that I was eligible. He filed a ticket noting I tried before the deadline and said Delta should be able to let me complete it later.
Fast forward to today and I get an email saying they’re just gifting me Gold status. No payment required. They even extended it through 1/31/27 so I didn’t lose any time because of the tech issue.
Did not expect that at all. Pretty awesome move by Delta and definitely earned some long term loyalty from me.
