Cruise ships + unsupervised teens is such a bad combo

I feel this way more often than I’d like to admit.

Cruises dump a ton of bored teenagers into a floating mall and then just hope they self regulate. A lot of them clearly aren’t going to shows or kids clubs, they’re just roaming in packs looking for reactions. Elevators seem to be their favorite playground for some reason.

Yeah, some of it is just kids being kids, but a lot of it feels like zero supervision. If your teenagers are being rude to staff or other passengers, that’s on the parents. Full stop. Staff shouldn’t have to babysit or put up with that.

I’ve started doing the same thing, just hopping off and waiting for another elevator because it’s not worth the headache. Cruises are supposed to be relaxing, not endurance tests.
