Sharing this just for awareness. We were on the December 21 to December 27 Carnival Firenze cruise and found a live adult bed bug in our stateroom, 8271, on December 25. After that, a follow up check found another one that was already dead.
Guest Services initially told us our clothes would be washed and heat dried. Later that changed and they said they would only steam them. Our belongings came back damp, unwashed, and smelling like mildew. Once we got home, we handled all the laundry precautions ourselves.
Posting this so others can be aware. If you’re sailing soon, definitely inspect your cabin and luggage when you arrive and wash everything on high heat when you get home.
