Just back from 3 weeks in Mexico and the new Canadian advisory lines up with what deal hunters already know stick to tourist corridors and you’ll still find steals. I paid $42/night in Merida, $15 ADO buses with promo codes, and even saw YYZ–CUN roundtrips for $297 on Flair if you book early. Cancun, Merida, Cabo all felt totally fine. Those $89 Acapulco all-inclusives look tempting, but not worth it right now. Yucatan is still gold for cheap hostels under $20 and street tacos for a couple bucks.
