Saw this repost and honestly it’s hard to ignore at this point. Another report of bed bugs on Carnival Firenze, again on Deck 8, from the 1/18 to 1/22 sailing. That’s now multiple reports in the past couple months in the same area.
What really gets me is how it was handled. Found on debarkation morning, Carnival took the bug and offered medical help, but that was basically it. The comment about “no point washing your clothes because you’re leaving” followed by a laugh is wild. I’d be furious.
Even if no bites showed up, the stress alone is enough to ruin the end of a trip. Throwing away clothes, steaming everything, heat drying before entering the house… that’s not something anyone should have to deal with after a cruise.
If you’ve got a Firenze sailing coming up, especially Deck 8, definitely inspect the room and the sofa before settling in. Hopefully Carnival actually takes this seriously, because repeated reports in the same area are not a good look at al
