Booked a flight last month from SJC to Hawaii on Hawaiian, but the ticket was booked through Alaska. I just received my Alaska Airlines Visa (Ascent) card and I’m wondering if there’s any way to still use the free checked bag benefit.
Since the ticket was booked before I had the card, I’m not sure if that automatically disqualifies me or if there’s some way it still applies at check in.
Has anyone been able to use the baggage benefit in a situation like this, or know how strict Alaska is about timing?
