Flew MIA to ORF and right after we parked at the gate, the cabin lights and AC shut off while everyone was still trying to deplane. It got hot pretty fast and people were using their phone flashlights.
This was after a pretty rough travel day already. Delayed out of TPA because of slow boarding, then sat on the taxiway in Miami for about 30 minutes due to congestion. Then another delay heading back to Norfolk. The lights and air going out with no announcement or apology just felt like the final straw.
Is there a normal reason this happens? Ground power issue or something? Or did someone just shut the aircraft down too quickly?
First AA experience and not exactly a great one.
