Flying Aer Lingus business in about a month and basically moving my whole life out of Ireland. No family here to leave stuff with, heading back to live with my partner.
Business gives me 3 checked bags, but apparently I cannot add more. Meanwhile economy can go up to 5 if you pay. Makes zero sense to me. Other airlines usually let you add extra pieces, so I did not even think this would be an issue.
Customer support has been no help at all. Just repeating that it is company policy and that I could be refused if I show up with extra luggage. I am kind of panicking because I really need 2 more suitcases and I cannot change dates due to a new job.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there any way to reach someone at Aer Lingus who can actually make exceptions? Or has anyone used a luggage shipping service as a backup?
Any advice would seriously help right now.
