Had to book a United flight and got sticker shock, $150 extra just to get out of a middle seat in the last 3 rows. Even the bad seats in the back were $30, and “premium” was $120 for row 10.
Made me realize how spoiled I am with Alaska status. Being able to grab premium seats at booking for free is such a perk. Easy to take for granted until you fly another airline.
